48 Vintage Beach Postcards You Can Use This Summer 1

I love vintage postcards. If I could only collect one theme of postcard, it would be vintage illustrated postcards of people on a beach. While I really like the black and white illustrated beach postcards, the colored postcards are my favorites.

How I Use Them

There are so many clever uses for using reproductions of these postcards! Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Coasters – I print color copies of these postcards on cardstock, laminate them, and use them as coasters for Summer gatherings and parties.
  • Placemats – I also print color copies in large format, laminate them, and use them as placemats – a fun touch of Summer for any dining room table, and they are always a conversation starter.
  • Wall Decor – I frame copies of the postcards in a collage-type layout and hang them in our pool house. Just beachy!
  • Notecards – I like to turn cardstock copies of the postcards into notecards. Send the copies through the mail as a postcard to friends, or use the cards to write your to-do lists and other important notes. TIP: If you are going to mail colored copies, you might want to use a colored laser printer versus an inkjet printer, as the inkjet print may run if it gets wet in transit.

For You To Use

I’ve gathered 48 of my favorite illustrated beach postcards here for you to use. All of these postcards are available in public domain (they are not copyrighted). I have touched them up and edited them to make them more usable. Feel free to save these images and use them freely in your home decor or art projects*.
