DIY Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin Glasses (plus recipes) 8

diy-1Hotter than a devil’s heart or colder than a zombie’s touch – whichever temperature you prefer for your ghoulish Halloween drinks, they’ll taste even better in a Jack-O-Lantern Pumpkin Glass!

Thrift stores are filled with mismatched beverage glasses, they’re inexpensive, and they are the perfect piece for this project. Just mix and match a set of six or more rounded stemware glasses to get started.

What You Will Need:

  • Round stemware glasses
  • Black Electricial Tape or Black Duct Tape
  • Scissors
  • Your Favorite Beverage (see recipes below)

What You Do:

  1. From the tape, cut out triangle eyes, a nose, and a toothy smile – simple or elaborate shapes, it’s up to you.
  2. Stick tape onto your glasses to make them look like jack-o-lanterns.
  3. Fill with your favorite beverage!

Variations:

  • Make a variety of different pumpkin faces so your guests will know which glass is theirs.
  • Make a set of glasses for your own Halloween party, and another set to give as a gift!
  • Why stop at pumpkin faces!? Cut bat shapes from the black electrical tape to make a set of Bat Glasses! Cut eye shapes from the tape to make a set of Eyeball Glasses – here’s looking at you!

Note:

  • The tape is strong enough to stay on for a Halloween party, and it can be removed easily after the party is done. Make sure to remove the tape before washing in the dishwasher.
